Secure data archive

RECAST is an implementation of STEP-archives, a distributed storage system for long-term archiving of documents. It addresses the issue of censorship-resistance by creating redundant reconstruction paths using data entanglement with erasure coding. Data entanglement ensures protection against silent corruption of documents while erasure coding protects against data loss with manageable storage overhead. Combined together in RECAST, they provide a strong level of protection against powerful attackers trying to censor target documents from the archive.
